Spelling Bee
The purpose of Spelling Bee is to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives. Every year the school encourages all pupils in 5th and 6th class to take part in the Spelling Bee competition. A school champion is declared after all pupils have taken part. Our school champion represents the school in regional competitions. If they are successful they enter the national competition. In the past, we have had some great success in this competition. The pupils really enjoy the competition, especially learning how to spell tricky and difficult words.
