Every year, the school takes part in Seachtain na Gaeilge. During this week, the school promotes the Irish language, culture, sports, songs, poems and dances. The pupils are encouraged to speak Gaeilge throughout the year, and are awarded Gaeilgoirí awards for doing so. Gaeilgoirí awards are handed out this week to all pupils for speaking the Irish language. A school assembly is arranged and the whole school gathers. At this assembly, pupils perform songs, dances and poems "as Gaeilge" that they have learned for each other. The pupils wear green on this day to celebrate being Irish. The pupils take part in GAA tournaments against each other in Gaelic football and hurling/camogie to promote our Irish games. It is a fun and exciting week.
Multi-culturalism day: In the past the school has organised multi-culturalism day to celebrate all the cultures and nationalities that we have in our school. Pupils from different countries showcased their countries and told us all about their culture, language, food, sports and dances. Pupils wore traditional clothes from these countries as well. Older classes researched other countries and told us all about their cultures and way of living.
