Our first ever athletics team took part in a race today. Our athletics team travelled to Patrickswell race-course on Wednesday. It was a wonderful day that saw 52 pupils from our school take part. Congratulations to all that took part, as it was great to see so many pupils enjoying themselves and taking part. Special mention especially Zoe Reeves Wasik, our Bronze Medal Winner. Well done and thanks to Mr Heffernan our trainer and organiser. Sincere thanks to Trish, Sharon, Mrs O'Dea, Derek Casey and Yvonne Casey for their help on the day. Pupils are encouraged to join an Athletics club. Derek Casey is happy to help with this. Please enquire through the school.
Well done to the boy’s football team who won the East Limerick Primary school competition. They managed to retain the title they won last year. This was a wonderful achievement as there were 6 very talented schools in our group. (Caherline, Bilboa, Ahane, Castleconnell, Tineteriffe and Killinure). All support is greatly appreciated.
Miss Eichholzs' class have been enjoying Yoga over the past few weeks as a transition between lessons. It has greatly improved their balance and flexibility, while also giving them an opportunity to explore the area of mindfulness, helping the girls and boys create an awareness of self. Next week is Mental Health Week. Miss Eichholz has prepared a week of activities for every class in the school. Thank you Miss Eichholz. Our families will be encouraged to practice these activities at home. In two weeks’ time we will commence a 6 week Mindfulness / Wellbeing course.
Some wonderful news!! Our boys have qualified for the Gaelic Football Final on the 25th of October in the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.
