To mark the Easter holidays, classes took part in lots of different activities today. Pupils took part in a wide range of activities including dancing with our own 6th class Easter bunny(Conaill from our ASF Committee), playing in the finals of the in-school soccer tournaments(more details below) and taking part in playground games. The highlight of the activities today for most pupils was taking part in the Easter Egg hunts. Well done to all teachers for organising. See pictures of the Easter Egg hunts below.
Following weeks of matches, the finals of the Caherline N.S in-school soccer league took place today. We have some great fun over the last few weeks taking part. The pupils gave their teams names and Barcelona, Celtic, Limerick F.C., Bayern Munich, Man Utd, Arsenal and Dortmund battled it out. Well done to all who took part in what was a great tournament. Well done to the members of the Man Utd team who refereed all of today's finals also.
We had a wonderful St. Patricks Day in Caherline N.S. today. All the pupils wore green to celebrate the day. At lunch time, Irish music was played and pupils can be seen dancing to the Irish music. Irish dancing was also done by pupils in their classrooms. The highlight of the day had to have been Miss Eichholz's Senior Infants who created their own version of Riverdance. The video is a must see and can be seen below. Happy St. Patricks Day to all!
Our ASF committee organised a Flash Mob today for the whole school to take part in. For the month of February all pupils were taught the Macarena and learned all of the actions to the dance. Today the whole school was involved in a group dance. It was fantastic to see the older and younger pupils mixing and performing together. Well done to all pupils and to the ASF committee for their wonderful work.
Hurling/Camogie training is starting on Wednesdays after school for all pupils from 4th-6th that are interested in taking part
The school had a fantastic day today for Grandparents Day. All classes performed in front of their grandparents in the Old School. Some classes performed music and sang beautifully for their grandparents. Other classes performed dances that they had learned during last months P.E. lessons which was fantastic to see. Well done to all pupils and teachers today!
